Stance against narcotics reaffirmed

Imphal, July 08 2025: Meira paibis and elders of Singjamei Oinam Thingel have reaffirmed their stand on prohibiting the buying, selling and consumption of narcotic substances including drugs and alcohol in their locality.

The decision was taken during the 1 Oth public meeting held on June 29, said a press release issued by Eikhoigee Club.

Additionally, the meeting also imposed restrictions on merry-making/revelry in public places such as roadside, rivers and crowded places.

The release further sought the help of authorities concerned with curbing narcotics use to build a better society.
