Wahong Radio celebrates first anniv

Imphal, August 05 2025: Wahong Radio, a community radio station which started broadcasting from August 4, 2024 at 90.0 MHz and providing service to the people for more than 20 hours daily, celebrated its 1st Foundation Day on Tuesday. According to Wahong Radio managing director James Heigrujam, the radio channel has been providing heath related information to rural people and farmers and knowledgeable discussion for youth apart from entertaining all sections of people every day.

The uniqueness of the radio channel is help extended to poor and unfortunate section of the society with contributions from like-minded listeners. In sync with the tradition, 16 elderly people who came to join Wahong Radio's 1st Foundation Day celebration were provided Rs 500 each with the amount donated by Sarangthem Tomba, he said and vowed to continue the humanitarian assistance in future.
