Imphal, May 04 2025: Police retrieved a hand grenade found placed at the gate of Princeton International School, Kshetri Awang Leikai under Porompat police station and safely exploded the same on Monday.

According to police, information was received around 6 am about a hand grenade laying at the School gate.

After a police team rushed to the site and took up precautionary measures, a team of state bomb expert arrived and safely retrieved the explosive device around 7.30 am.

The grenade was then disposed of at Awangching, the police added.
