Imphal, December 23 2025: The Imphal-Saikul Road Joint Development Committee (ISRJDC) has notified that people travelling for Christmas, medical or religious reasons will be exempted from its proposed indefinite shutdown along the Imphal-Saikul road stretch slated to begin from the midnight of December 24.In a press release, ISRJDC has sought the cooperation of people residing along the aforementioned road section in the general strike.

Clarifying that ISRJDC's indefinite shutdown protest has no communal undertones, it urged people to avoid misinterpreting or spreading misinformation about their agitation.
