Imphal, February 11, 2011: Troops of 23 AR nabbed one PREPAK cadre namely, (No 2254) Lailakpam alias Aung Meitei (27) s/o Basanta meitei of Pukhao Zezu Leikai at around 11.30 pm of February 10, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.

He has been handed over to Litan police station, the release informed while adding that troops of the same AR unit also apprehended one KYKL (MTF) cadre from Sagolmang area at around 2 am today.

The arrested person namely Hemzit (26) s/o Medajit of Sagolmang, in Imphal East district has reportedly been handed over to Sagolmang police station.

Meanwhile, troops of 29 Assam Rifles apprehended two Myanmarese nationals, who were travelling in a Maruti van (MN01/W6955) without proper documents at Tengnoupal area at around 4.15 pm of Feb10.The PRO release identified the duo as om Nath (25) s/o Som Nath of 701 Gali, Chinayetha (Myanmar) and Sawkar Krishna (32) s/o Kamal Krishna of Mawgone near Rangoon.

Along with two mobile phones, one Indian driving license and Rs 10,769 (Indian currency) recovered from them, they have been handed over to Tengnoupal police station, it added.
