Fire crackers, gambling banned

Tengnoupal, October 18 2018:
Meetei Council, Moreh, president M Thoiba has announced that it is imposing complete ban on sale and use of fire crackers, gambling (Lagao/Diwali) and opening of liquor hotel after 8 pm in Moreh Town with immediate effect from today.
The ban was announced during a press meet held at the office of Hill Tribal Council, Moreh, today, with members and leaders of Hill Tribal Council and Meetei Council Moreh.
He appealed public to support the initiatives taken up by the two bodies for peaceful celebration of Durga Puja festival.
