Annual Reggae festival to be organised in Manipur

The Giving Tree and BFR Sound System are organising the first ever reggae festival of Manipur called "Reggae in the wild!' at Chirik Khun, Imphal West district.
The festival has been planned following a positive and overwhelming support from the people when BFR Sound System drove all the way from Delhi and performed at The Giving Tree, Mataiin2017.BFR Sound System will be travelling with a trombone player and a melodica player in the first edition of Reggae In The Wild.
This event will consists of DJ and live music while the festival is welcoming local artists and musician to be a part of the live session.
Apart from music, this year, people will enjoy camping facilities during the festival.
The festival aims to bring people from different backgrounds under one roof and one platform.
By organizing art workshops, music camps, interactions and conversations with local artists and intellectuals, Reggae in the wild hopes to develop a culture that promotes art, music, nature and wellbeing of mind.
The Giving Tree stands for peace, prosperity and compassion and believes in harmonious coexistence between human and nature.
The Giving Tree has its branches at Sangaiprou, Matai and Chirik Khun.
Meanwhile, BFR Sound System is owned and operated by Delhi Sultanate & Begum X, lead singers of the band, The SkaVengers and co-founders of Word Sound Power.
BFR Sound System is hand-built and one of the only two Jamaican style systems in all of South Asia.
