JAC to hold emergency general council meeting on July 22

Imphal, July 19 2026: The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of AMTUC & AMGEO will convene an Emergency General Council Meeting on July 22 at 11 am at its Babupara office to decide the next course of agitation.

The meeting comes amid the JAC's rejection of the State Government's 3% DA/DR hike for employees and pensioners, effective July 1 .

The JAC is demanding 60% arrears from January 1, 2025, on par with Central Government employees.

The JAC has urged representatives of all departments, employees' associations, unions, organisations and advisors to attend the meeting.
