Imphal, June 19 2025:
The Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF) has announced an indefinite shutdown in protest against the killing of Hoikholhing earlier today.
In a statement, the ITLF urged the Central Government to take concrete measures to ensure the protection of lives.
It also said that security forces have failed in their Constitutional duty to protect the vulnerable.
In a chilling incident earlier today, Kuki militants shot a farmer in the hand in Bishnupur district, leaving him injured and sparking fresh concerns over civilian safety.
