Imphal, October 14 2025: Unidentified miscreants fired a shot at the residence of Dr Yumnam Lokendro at Uripok Khumanthem Leikai at around 5 am today.

Taking strong exception to the attack, local womenfolk staged a protest demonstration at Uripok Khumanthem Leikai, Kamdevo Leirak under the aegis of the Uripok Khumanthem Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi Lup.

Speaking to media persons by the sideline of the protest demonstration, Uripok Khumanthem Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi Lup secretary Heisnam ongbi Kamala appealed to all concerned not to ever carry out such firing attacks in thickly populated areas.

She went on to ask who would take responsibility if the shot had hit someone and resulted in casualties.
