Classical Solo Dance Festival begins

Imphal, September 13 2026: A two-day Manipuri Classical Solo Dance Festival organised by Centre for Youth and Cultural Activities (CYCA), Khurai Puthiba Leikai, began today at Puthiba Community Hall, Pungel Road.

The festival is being organised under the Cultural Function and Production Grant scheme of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Joint Director, Art and Culture Department, Manipur, G Dharmadas Sharma, former Pradhan of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai GP Y Chitra, and SNA Awardee A Lakshmi attended the inaugural function as presidium members.

On the first day, Ch Dhanajit of CYCA and Dr P Tejpati of CCP presented solo performances.
