Imphal, January 21, 2011:
The owner of the flat in Cansaulim from which four suspected Manipuri militants were arrested on Wednesday, has told police that the group was living in Goa since the last four months.
He said the flat was rented by Saira Bhanu alias Samsat Sauda, Samir Khan alias Babu, and Khan's three siblings.
DySP Mahesh Gaonkar, when contacted, said the four would leave for Manipur late Thursday or Friday accompanied by Manipur police and military officials.
Meanwhile, the arrest echoed in the Congress Legislative Party meeting on Thursday, with MLAs stressing the need for Goa police to strengthen its intelligence wing.
