Imphal, May 26 2026: The 43rd Keishamthong Local Conference of the Communist Party of India (CPI) was held on May 24, at Longjam Leirak Community Hall, Keishamthong.

The presidium comprised eight members led by L Iboyaima, Prithibiraj, and RK Ramkumar.

Over 100 delegates and invitees attended the conference.

The conference adopted resolutions urging the Central Government to take immediate steps to resolve the ongoing unrest in Manipur, ensure no blockades on National Highways, and facilitate the safe and dignified return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their native places.

A 17-member Local Council was also elected for the next term to carry out party activities.
