Imphal, March 25 2026: A new production of the Living Arts Academy Manipuri (LAAMAN) Thang-Ta entitled "Lanthang Thanghai" was presented today at the Neinasang Community Hall in Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

As per a release issued by LAAMAN Thang-Ta, the production is part of the academy's ongoing efforts to promote and preserve the unique and endangered traditional martial art form of Thang-Ta.

The primary focus of "Lanthang Thanghai" is to showcase the 'Thanghai' technique, a significant sword-fighting style used during ancient warfare periods.

The event aimed to make the historical 'Thanghai' technique accessible and engaging for the current generation, ensuring its continuity and development.
