One killed in hit-and-run incident

Imphal, May 24 2025: A 65-year old man was killed in a hit-and-run incident involving a four wheeler near Khurai Chaithabi Leirak under Porompat police station early Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Hijam Gojendro son of late Hijam Jugeshor of Lairikyengbam Leikai.

According to a report, Gojendro was on his morning walk along Imphal-Ukhrul road when he was hit by a four-wheeler near Khurai Chaithabi Leirak at around 4 am Saturday.

The four-wheeler fled the scene while Gojendro succumbed to his injuries.
