Man dies of "negligence" at RIMS

Imphal, September 20 2025: A man who was brought to RIMS Hospital for treatment has died of doctors' negligence, family members have alleged.

The deceased, Yambem Sanjoy (50) of Bamonkampu was rushed to the hospital twice to treat "pain" on his left hand.

While he was sent home the first time saying there was "nothing to worry about", his condition (pain on left hand) deteriorated.

When he was brought again at RIMS, he had difficulty breathing but the doctors "refused" to provide medical oxygen when requested, alleged the family members.
