Noney, May 18 2025:
A massive landslide and rock fall occurred on Sunday afternoon at K Sinam village, near the waterfall along the National Highway 37 (Imphal-Jiribam Road), in Kangpokpi district.
As a result, vehicular movement was severely disrupted, leaving numerous vehicles stranded on both ends of the road awaiting debris clearance.
The road construction firm, Ganpati Company, promptly mobilised efforts to address the situation, deploying three excavators to remove the debris.
After several hours of intensive work, the affected section was cleared by 6:30 pm, allowing all stranded vehicles to resume their journeys.
