Imphal, August 06 2025: The Department of Physics, GP Women's College observed the 80th Hiroshima Day at the exam hall of the College's library building today.

The event was attended by Professor Rajen Singh, Principal, GP Women's College; Dr M Bidyasagar, HoD, Department of Physics; K Sanaton Sharma, HoD Department of Chemistry, DMU Program Coordinator and NSS Programme Officer and Professor Md Baharuddin Shah, IQAC Coordinator as the presidium members.

As a part of the ceremony, films were screened and students took part in quiz and poster competitions.

Meanwhile, Dr M Bidyasagar presented a slideshow and educated the students about Hiroshima Day and the bombing of Hiroshima by the US on August 6, 1945 .
