Couple held with 2 Kg WY tablets

Imphal, September 01 2025: In separate operations, security forces recovered more than 2 kilograms of WY tablets from Lilong Hangamthabi and 24 soap cases of brown sugar from Churachandpur and arrested four persons in total.

2.357 kilograms of WY tablets (methamphetamine) was seized from a couple from Lilong Hangamthabi this morning.

The duo have been identified as Makakmayum Musharaf (27) and his wife Ruhani (25) .

Separately, on August 31, security forces arrested two drug smugglers identified as Paokholal (53) of Lhanghoi Veng, Churachandpur and Kamkholal alias Lalpu (43) of Joljam Village, Churachandpur under Singhat PS and seized 24 soap cases of brown sugar.
