MPP meets Guv on OBC reservation

Imphal, September 26: Two MPP leaders, O Joy and Dr Nimaichand Luwang, have urged Governor for provi-ding reservation for OBC at the Combined Service examination to be conducted by MPSC and in other Government recruitment rally.

The two MPP leaders called on Governor Dr SS Sidhu at the Raj Bhavan and held discussion in this regard for one hour. During the meeting, the two MPP leaders insisted upon the Governor for keeping reserved seats for OBC at the time for recruitment for Government jobs in Manipur as in other States of India.

They also demanded that the Combined Service Examination scheduled to be conducted by MPSC in January next should be stalled till such an arrangement has been made in the interest of the weaker section of the society.
