Imphal, May 30 2025: Manipur-born Leimapokpam Ranjita Devi has been conferred the prestigious National Florence Nightingale Award 2025 by President Droupadi Murmu, recognizing her meritorious services.

She is among the 15 nursing professionals honoured for their exceptional contributions.

A Senior Nursing Officer at JNIMS Ranjita had previously received recognition from the former Chief Minister on the 76th Independence Day in 2022 for her role in conducting the first-ever kidney transplant in a Govt hospital in Manipur.
