Imphal, September 25 2025: A 5-Day State Level Handloom & Handicrafts Mela organised by the Handloom & Handicraft Development Federation, Imphal West District began today at Urban Haat, Nilakuthi, Imphal East district.

The Mela was conducted under the sponsorship of the North Eastern Council Secretariat Nongrim Hills, Shillong.

The inaugural function was graced by Yumnam Jagyashwori Devi, Deputy Director (Handicrafts), Directorate of Handloom & Textiles, Manipur; Ch Mani Singh, retired Handicrafts Promotion Officer, NERO, Guwahati; and Pangambam Loken Singh, Chairman, Mainpur Industries Development Council (MIDC) as presidium members.
