Free health and eye check-up camp held

Imphal, August 23 2025: The Alumni of DM College of Science (1996-XII & 1999-TDC Batch), in collaboration with We Care Foundation and Yaima Eye Hospital, organised a free health and eye check-up camp for senior citizens at the Old Aged Home in Laiching Nongpok, run by the RUSA .

During the camp, 9 patients were detected with cataract, out of them, 6 were referred to Yaima Eye Hospital for cataract surgery (Phacoemulsification), which was conducted at free of cost.

Additionally, two other patients with severe retina damage were also assured specialized medical attention, with best doctors assigned to continue their treatment.
