Imphal, July 20 2025: A man was found dead hanging from a tree in a dense foliage atop the Langol hill range on the eastern side of Solid Waste Management Plant in Lamdeng under Lamsang police station on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Chinganbam Hemanta Singh (57) s/o (L) Bijoy Singh of Lamdeng Mayai Leikai.

According to a police report, Hemanta's body was found hanging on a tree about 100 metres from the Solid Waste Management Plant.

Lamsang police have registered an unnatural death (UD) case and brought the body to RIMS morgue.

After conduct of post-mortem examination, the body was handed over to the family.
