Bus Transport Association extends relief to stranded drivers

Imphal, May 17 2026: The Manipur Inter State Bus & Allied Transport Association has extended relief to drivers stranded on NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapurroad)andin Guwahati, Shillong and Dimapur due to the ongoing unrest.

The Association said its committee distributed essential items to the drivers after many of them fell ill while being stuck for days.

With hardship mounting, the Association urged the government to arrange immediate security escort to bring the.

stranded buses back to Imphal.

In a press note issued Sunday, the Association also clarified that Bus No AS 06 AC 7555, seized with drugs at Amingaon, Assam, is not registered under it.
