Imphal, May 15 2025: Two Meitei men were stopped from crossing to Kuki inhabited areas of Leimakhong by troops of 2/8 GR Leimakhong today.

Soraisam Suranjoy Singh (58) s/o S Kartik Singh of Heikrujam Mayai Leikai and Irom Joychandra Singh (62) s/o Irom Kumar Singh of Top Khabi Awang Leikai were rescued from Kanto Sabal check post at 5.25 pm.

They were later handed over to Sekmai police station, sources said.
