Imphal, May 11 2026: Thang-Ta has been introduced as an optional subject at Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur under the aegis of Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts & Cultural Society (KIMACS) .

According to a release issued by KIMACS, a simple function was held at Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School on Monday to mark the opening of Thang-Ta as a subject.

It was attended by KIMACS advisor Irom Ibomcha Meitei, vice president Thnagjam Suraj, education secretary Kangabam Shyamkumar, Thang-Ta activist L Joykumar and Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School administrator Karam (o) Romita Devi among others.
