Imphal, May 13 2018:
Manipur Pollution Control Board Chairman Laishram Radhakishwore Singh today break ground for construction of six class rooms of CI College, Bishnupur.
The college is among 18 colleges from the State selected for infrastructure upliftment under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) 2014-15 .
Rs 70 lakh have been sanctioned for the construction of the six class rooms.
Of the Rs 70 lakh Rs 50 lakh have been released.
The college had received Rs 25 lakh in 2016 .
Further Rs 75 lakh is due to be released soon, said an official.
Another Rs 65 lakh will be released for purchase of various scientific equipments and class room materials.
The total amount alloted to a college is Rs 2 crores, said official.
