The third session of the State Government's 'Khungang Chatse-Go to Village' Mission will be held at various villages across the State on May 15.The District Administration, Chandel will conduct Go to Village Mission at Liwachangning and Khubungkhullen village in the district on May 15 covering 14 villages.
The camp at Liwachangning under Chandel Sub-Division will cover 5 villages namely, Liwachangning, Leishokching, Khuringmol, Komlathabi and Penaching village.
The other camp/centre at Khubungkhullen under Chakpikarong Sub-Division will cover 9 villages-Khubungkhullen, Khubungkhunou, Thorcham, Phiran Machet, Tonalpe, Beaula, Novokom, Bersheba and Khumbung village.
In Thoubal, the district administration, will launch the mission on May 15 at three venues- Laikhrakpam Mayai Leikai Community Hall (Lilong AC), Samaram Mayai Leikai Community Hall (Khangabok AC) and Sabaltongba Lai Haraopham (Thoubal AC).
The mission of the State Government incorporates various schemes for social benefit, health and education and identification of left out beneficiaries for inclusion in Government programmes of housing and pension etc.
The 'Go to, Village' Mission, a brainchild of Chief Minister N Biren Singh, is specifically designed to reach out to the citizens.
It is a mission that promises to deliver the services and benefits to the people in time and at the doorsteps.
It aims at hearing and addressing the problems and queries of the public in a citizen-friendly manner and provide on the spot solutions.
To assist the villagers, officials of different Government Departments are deputed at the camps organised on every Tuesday at selected villages of all the 60 Assembly Constituencies in the State.
The mission will cover all the villages and urban and semi-urban localities one after another.
Under the mission, the Government provides an array of services that includes Aadhaar services, animal vaccination and treatment, health check up, opening of bank accounts/PMJDY and other banking services, issuance of birth/death/marriage certificates, electoral rolls enrollment/correction, distribution of school supplies, distribution of seedlings and saplings/tree plantation, financial assistance to poor and needy widows, pension under IGNDP/IGNOAP/MOAP/IGNWP for old age, disabled, widows, assistance to farmers under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture Department, soil testing and issuance of soil Health Cards and tips/advice by Agriculture Department/Horticulture Department/RKVY officials.
And more importantly, facilities for on the spot verification and application submission for Chief Minister's initiatives like Chief Minister-gi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT), Chief Minister-gi Sotharabasingi Tengbang (CMST), and enrollment of drop out students under 'Lairik Tamhansi - No Child Left Behind', are also provided to villagers at the camp venues.
Moreover, applications for Central Government sponsored schemes like Housing under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and getting LED bulb free of cost or at subsidised rate under Pradhan Mantri Ujjala Yojana etc are also available at these camps.
Applications related to land measurements and other land related matters, Ration Card under NFSM, weaver/artisan card and Yarn Passbook under Textile Promotion Scheme, skill development training under MOBC, TA and Hills, Commerce and Industries, Social Welfare, MAHUD, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, skill development training for border villages under BADP, new connection for un-electrified household under Saubhagya, assistance under RKVY, MIDH, Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation, PMKSY for agricultural inputs like certified seeds, green house, poly house, sprayer, pump sets, etc (Agri/Horti), seedling/saplings for tree plantation, fish feeds, construction of toilets under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, PMEGP Loan, JSY/JSSK/RBSK are also made available at different stalls of these camps.
The Government officials also attended to community grievances/suggestions/demands such as infrastructure development like water supply/roads/school building/health facility/micro irrigation etc.
Delivery of beneficiary schemes is done on the spot for identified/already selected beneficiaries of the previous year, which could not be distributed last year.
For the current year, benefits will be given after verification of forms/ documents, and selection of beneficiaries.
People's turn-up and participation in this mission is encouraging and immense with the first day (launching day) alone witnessing a total of 60,339 applications.
