Imphal, July 30 2026: Ibotombi Institute of Education (HE) organised the Induction Programme 2026 for B.Ed and D.El.Ed trainees of the 2026-2028 session at the Institute's Seminar Hall on Thursday.

Dr Salam Dilan Singh of IGNOU Regional Centre, Imphal, and Dr RK Bijen Singh, Principal, HE, attended as presidium members.

Samantajit Mayengbam, Administrative Officer, gave a brief note on IIE's journey and present status.

Dr Dilan Singh spoke on the duties and responsibilities of students in the changing scenario.

Dr RK Bijen Singh highlighted the key aspects of NEP 2020 and its relevance to teacher education.

The programme aimed to orient the new trainees about academic expectations and the role of teachers in nationbuilding.
