MPCC Legal Department has filed an application under the Right to Information (RTI) Act regarding the Gwaltabi incident of May 20 when troops of Mahar Regiment forced an MST bus to conceal its signage "Manipur State Transport" .
The RTI application filed to the Commissioner (Home) is seeking details like who gave the order to stop the MST bus and forced it to conceal its signage and the particulars of the 4th Mahar Regiment commander stationed at Gwaltabi, said MPCC Legal Department vice chairman Advocate Md Rabi Khan.
The particular incident was an insult to both the Governor and the people of Manipur, he said.
