The proscribed Kuki National Front (KNF) clarified that the outfit was not involved in the abduction of ATSAM General Secy adding that there is no such person in the name of Thangboi working in the Finance Department of the Front as accused by Malem-nganba Meitei of KCP, published in the Sangai Express (December 21 edition).
