Imphal, August 19 2025: Manipur arrested two persons along with 1.3 Kg of brown sugar (approx) from the vicinity of Pioneer Camp along National Highway 102 (B) under Singhat police station in Churachandpur.

The arrestees have been identified as Lungousiem of Songpi Kholui Village and Ngamminlal of Songpi Village, according to the Police Control Room.

From their possession, 111 soap cases of brown sugar weighing around 1.3 Kg, a black Yamaha MT 15 and one Mahindra Bolero both having Manipur registration numbers were seized.

The police also said that four cadres of different outfits involved in extortion were arrested today.
