Imphal, November 18 2024: With Manipur initiating an inquiry into the confrontation in Jiribam on Sunday, Col (Retd) Nectar Sanjenbam, Senior SP (Combat), has been relieved of his duties.

In an official order, it was stated that following an inquiry into confrontation between the Special Commando Team led by Col (Retd) Nectar Sanjenbam, Senior SP (Combat), and the protestors near Jiribam Police Station on Sunday, which led to the death of one student and injuries to another, the Senior SP (Combat) has been relieved of his duties.
