The Imphal Sewerage Project is being upgraded and expanded to ensure better sewage management for the people of Imphal.
Once completed, it will significantly improve sanitation standards across the city, benefiting thousands of households, said officials during an inspection carried out by Chief Secretary and Secretary (PHED), along with senior officials of the department at the 27 MLD Sewerage Treatment Plant at Lamphelpat and other key project units.
Plans for upgradation and expansion including three new STPs, 24 pumping stations and a 512 Km sewer network are underway to serve 16 IMC Wards under Phase II with NDB funding.
