Imphal, May 15 2025: Reacting to a news item published in some local newspapers and local TV channels which said that the term of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president is three years, MPCC has clarified that the term of MPCC president is not three years.

The term of president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee is five years under article VI(i) of the constitution of Indian National Congress and rules, as amended and approved at the 83rd Congress plenary session 2010 and 85th Congress plenary session, 2023, said a press release issued by MPCC general secretary (in-charge legal affairs) Md Wahidur Rahman.
