Imphal, May 11 2026: Please refer to the news item published under the heading "Clogged septic tanks add to woes of IDPs at Sawombung" on Page 9 of May 11 issue of this paper.

It is hereby clarified that the second last paragraph of the news item should be read as "The Government provides IDPs a daily allowance of Rs 100 per head including Rs 16 for maintenance of the shelter home, he said, and added that surviving a day on such meagre funds is extremely difficult" and not as published.

The inadvertent error is deeply regretted.
