Imphal, July 06 2025: Sorensangbam Brojen has been elected as the president of the Manipur People's Party (MPP) today, gamering 165 votes among five candidates during an election held at the GM Hall today.

Speaking to the media, Brojen expressed his conviction that the chronic issues besieging Manipur can be addressed if the State is governed by a regional party.

Saying that he will work at the grassroots level to bolster the MPP, he added that the party will confront any challenges that undermine Manipur's unity and integrity.
