Imphal, February 03 2026: Please refer to the report published under the caption, ‘Kukis attack assessment team, 2 hurt’ which appeared in the February 3 edition of this newspaper.

It is hereby clarified that the lines, ‘Subsequently the officials and the security forces fled from the spot, sources said’ ...‘Instead of facing the Kukis' attack, the security forces asked the officials as well as the villagers to flee, the IDP asserted,’ were erroneous.

Our sincere regrets for the error in the report.
