Imphal, January 03 2026: The LEIKOL (Leimarol Khoijeikol) observed the 106th birth anniversary of renowned writer and revolutionary poet Kumari Takhellambam Thoibi Devi at Maichou Taret Hall, Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak yesterday.

Ch Subadani, president of LEIKOL graced the ceremony as the president, said a release issued by LEIKOL.

During the event, Dr Wahengbam Kumari Chanu, Professor, Manipuri Department, Manipur University and Prof Ch Sheelaramani, retired Principal, DM College, DM University spoke on the life & works of Late Thoibi Devi.

The gathering also paid floral tributes to a photograph of the late writer.
