Imphal, September 02 2025: A gunfight broke out between cadres suspected to be of NSCN (IM) and ZUF this morning at 10.15 near Guigairong village in Noney district.

There have been no reports of any casualties in the exchange of fire.

Guigairong village is located about 8 kilometres west of Khoupum police station.

It is located between Khoupum police station and Nungba police station.

While security forces have been rushed to the incident site to monitor and control the law and order situation, the situation in the Khoupum area remains tense, said sources.
