Satellite transmitter tagged female Amur Falcon "Alang" has arrived in the Assam Valley today.
Alang reached Assam via Bhutan.
The bird is resting the night in a village southwest of North Lakhimpur, said people familiar with the migratory pattern of the bird.
Amur Falcons (Falco amurensis) are the world's longest travelling small raptors of the falcon family.
