Lawyers to continue absent from court works

Imphal, May 24 2010:
Lawyers under the High Court Bar Association today resolved to absent from attending court works effective from May 26 next due to non-availability of vehicle fuel for their utility.
The decision to absent from court working in a meeting of the association held today, said secretary of the association advocate N Jotindro giving the result has non-availability of vehicle fuel due to the economic blockade on the national highways.
The lawyers had been suspending from attending court works at the Guwahati, Imphal Bench.
The meeting thoroughly discussed the hardship facing by the lawyers due to scarcity of petrol and decided to continue the absent from the court working further, he said.
