Imphal, May 10 2021: Tengnoupal Battalion of Assam Rifles on Monday handed over a toilet block to Khongkhang village which was conducted under the Assam Rifles' Civic Action Programme.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the community hall of Khongkhang village lacked sanitation facilities and the requirement was projected by the villagers to the Assam Rifles.

The construction of the sanitation facility will benefit 500 villagers who were eagerly waiting for a solution to the problem.

The village chief highly appreciated the efforts made by Assam Rifles and also requested to continue such assistance in the future, the release said adding that the handing over event was organised as per COVID-19 protocols.
