Crime against women discussed

Imphal, August 10, 2013:
A one-day panel discussion on "Crime against Women and Children in Manipur� was organized by Progressive Rights Association, Manipur Centre at Irawat Bhawan here today.
During the discussion, Dr Chinglen Maisnam expressed the need for setting up and strengthening the fast track courts to deal with increasing cases of crime against women and children in the State.
Dr Ranbit Laishram opined that modern information technology such as mobile and internet is also one of the factors for increasing crimes in the society.
Ng Liklaileima and M Sakhi were also among the panellists who spoke on crime against women and children in the State.
