Thoubal, August 29 2026: A hand grenade hurled by unidentified persons exploded at Sorojini Oil Pump, Khangabok at around 6.20 pm today.

Sources said that the hand grenade was hurled by some persons who came in a four-wheeler from the direction of Wangjing.

However, there is no report of any casualty except for some damages done to an oil tanker and the oil pump's wall.

Meanwhile, Thokchom Jadumani, owner of the oil pump, said that he was at Imphal at the time of the incident.

He also appealed to all concerned to clarify in public why his oil pump was attacked and appealed to all concerned not to repeat such attacks in the future.
