Imphal, May 29 2025: The Longmai Pei (Customary) Court and Village Authority has called chakka bandh on NH-37 with effect from June 6, 2025.According to a press release issued by the Longmai Pei (Customary) Court and Village Authority, they submitted a representation to the Governor on May 3, 2025, consisting of 15 charter of demands but the State authority has failed to give an affirmative response till date.

"After a serious deliberation over the issues and demands, we are compelled to take up democratic forms of agitation including chakka bandh on NH-37 with effect from June 6, 2025 until the demands are fulfilled", it said.
