Imphal, May 28 2025: An earthquake of 5.2 ML struck the State at 1.54 am on May 28 .

According to a press release issued by the Seismological Observatory, Department of Earth Science, Manipur University, the earthquake had its epicentre near Saiton area, South of Khuga River in Moirang sub-division, Bishnupur district.

The earthquake which had its epicentre 48 Kms South-West of Imphal shook the entire State.

Two more earthquakes of 2.6 M and 3.9 M which had their epicentres in Henglep, Churachandpur district and Kangvai, Churachandpur district respectively struck the State at 2.26 am and 10.23 am today.
