Imphal, November 23 2015: The 15th State Conference of All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Manipur was held at Shyama Devi Town Hall, Chingmeirong on November 22 wherein Dr M Nara Singh was elected as the president and Laishram Sotinkumar was elected as the general secretary.

Around 75 associations under its affiliation and 500 delegates participated the conference.

Various issues like price rise, amendment of labour laws, Food Security Act, Labour Social Security etc, were discussed during the conference.

It also selected 40 delegates, who are going to participate in the 42nd AITUC National Conference to be held at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu from December 15 to 18 .
