Fire Mishap averted
A house at Gwaltabi Khunou, Moyophung, nearly burned down as its newly-installed prepaid meter caught-fire today, our correspondent reports.
The incident happened at around 3.30 pm today.
The owner, Konthoujam Pisak Meitei, 66, immediately doused the flames with waters.
Only a small section of the house, where the meter was installed was affected by the fire.
No casualties reported.
ALT resents
Expressing resentment over the alleged pathetic condition of District Library and Adult Education Office, Chandel, the Anal Lelruwl Tangpo (Anal Students' Union) has urged the authority concerned to renovate and ensure the smooth functioning of the office at the earliest.
The ALT also urged the staff of Adult Education Office to attend office at the district headquarters and not at Imphal.
FCO notifies
Fulling Cultural Organisation (FCO), Imphal is going to organise a meeting on November 28 from 3 pm at Majorkhul Community Hall.
The said meeting has been called to reorganise the organisation which has not been reorganised for the last 26/27 years.
FCO was established on July 16, 1972 in order to promote arts and culture of Zeliangrong Community, it said.
